The first character to appear in the first issue is Aquaman, this is his thought bubble, all punctuation is Aquaman's fault:
"MY FRIEND PETER... THE PUFFER FISH -- IS CALLING ME AND -- GREAT NEPTUNE! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE TALE IT IS THOUGHT-BEAMING AT ME!"
The italics and bolds are in the original too. There is so much wrong and right in there. Then, Peter the Puffer Fish narrates the story of a giant starfish from space named Starro. And it never lets up from that point forward. Until they run into a beatnik name Snapper coated in lime who shows them how to stop Starro. With lime. Cause Snapper was gardening. And lime kills starfish. No really.
When Snapper meets Flash he says, "I'M REALLY SWINGING CASTING ORBS ON YOU LIKE THIS, FLASH! LIKE I'M HAVING A HAPPY-MARE, YOU DIG...?"
And stuff. And I'm not making it up.
There are no lower case letters in the world of a super hero.
