Don't eat cheese before you read this.

While my car is still pristine and new, I placed a copy of William Shatner's book "Get a Life" in the back seat. I wanted it to be the only distinguishing characteristic. It doesn't help me find it in a parking lot full of silver Civics, but it's something, a tiny mark of me.

Today my boss walked by me and said, "Saw your new car. Nice."

"Thanks."

"I like the Shatner book. Makes the whole thing."

Score.

When parents started complaining that the new series of Doctor Who was too frightening for their kids, the BBC started putting up reviews by a panel of kids that rates each episode on a scale from 1 to 4. 1 is mildly scary, 2 is quite scary, 3 is very scary, 4 is chilling and 5 is terrifying. However, kids between the ages of 4 and 12 don't really write reviews, so the BBC just sits them in a room and transcribes what they say and describes how they react to each moment.

I love going through and reading them after the episodes air.

Last night's got a 5 and I agree.

This is the end of the review:

As the episode ends, Samuel asks his mum: "Can we watch the next episode in the daytime? When it's light?" Adam has been taking lessons from his grandma about avoiding nightmares: "This is so scary - people shouldn't eat cheese before watching it."

Nancy and I went to see Sith. I liked it. Nancy felt shortchanged on Wookiees. The trailer had implied a much larger Wookiee population. Still, she liked that Chewbacca comforted Yoda.

Nancy uses the term "dor de dor" to describe the kind of guy she likes. Big lumbering guys that don't move quickly is the polite way to describe it. I am "dor de dor".

I asked her if Chewbacca was dor de dor in email yesterday. She wrote back that Chewbacca was not boyfriend material and that she felt no desire to kiss him.

Whew.
