One quick story. My nieces are 5 and 3. I brought my Warner Brothers DVDs to show them a few cartoons. They recognized Tweety and Sylvester from Baby Looney Tunes, so they wanted to see one of those.
I put in the disk and started playing. The plot was that two cats, one was Sylvester the other a motley looking tomcat, wanted Tweety and were beating the crap out of one another.
The 5 year old said, "I would like this better if they shared."
The 3 year old covered her eyes until we shut it off.
The 5 year old said, "They should be nice to one another."
She also was troubled by the lack of message in the cartoon.
Cartoons today suck.
